The SalesforceSummer ‘25release is here, and it's a significant one! There's a focus on AI, Flows, and enhancing setup tools, aimed at improving the configuration experience for Salesforce instances across the board. Depending on your instance, you'll be upgraded on one of the following dates:
June 7, 2025
June 14, 2025
If you want to find out exactly which weekend your Salesforce instance will be upgraded, head over to Salesforce Trust and click on ‘Maintenance.’ You’ll need to know which instance your org is running on, so to find out, go to your Setup menu and click on Company Information.
Specify a Single Email Address to Send Report Subscription Notifications
Previously, report subscription emails came from the individual user who created them. In the Salesforce Summer ’25 release, you can now send all report subscription emails from a single org-wide email address instead of the report owner’s. This creates a more consistent and professional experience, and helps reduce email spoofing risks.
To enable it, go to Setup → Reports and Dashboards Settings → turn on “Enable Org-Wide Email Address for Report Subscription”.
Update Object Permissions for All Custom Permission Sets or Profiles in One Step
The Salesforce Summer ’25 release introduces a faster way to manage object permissions across multiple custom permission sets and profiles. You can now update object permissions across all custom permission sets or profiles from one screen. Simply go to Object Manager → choose an object → edit access for everything from the Object Access summary view.
Edit Permissions Faster in the Permission Set Summary
With the Salesforce Summer ’25 release, you can now edit user, object, field, and custom permissions directly from the permission set summary view. No more clicking through multiple Setup pages, it’s all in one place.
You can now quickly check which tabs a user has access to, which tabs are included in a permission set, or which permission set groups, all from one summary view. This saves time by reducing the need to search through multiple Setup pages. To use this, go to Setup, select a user, permission set, or permission set group, and then click View Summary.
Notify Senders About Email-to-Case Processing Errors
In the Salesforce Summer ’25 release, you can now choose to notify your users if their emails sent via Email-to-Case aren’t processed properly. Before, only the organisation’s administrators were alerted to these issues. With this update, end users receive a notification, helping them understand when their email didn’t get through and encouraging them to resend if needed.
Admins can enable this new setting on the Email-to-Case setup page, which is off by default. Just keep in mind, if both admins and users resend the same email, duplicates might occur.
Transition to the Lightning Editor for Email Composers in Email-to-Case
Salesforce is rolling out a cleaner, HTML5-based email editor for Email-to-Case, replacing the old composer with a more modern experience. The new Lightning Editor includes handy features like full-screen mode, printing, undo/redo buttons, format painting, an emoji picker, resizability, and a responsive toolbar.
Save Time with New AI Capabilities for Reporting and Marketing Automation
The Salesforce Summer '25 release introduces enhancements to help marketers get more value from predictive insights. You can now create reports to analyse Einstein Engagement Frequency and Engagement Scoring. Flows can be automated based on predicted engagement using data graphs with the Einstein Decision element, allowing you to tailor customer journeys more effectively. Plus, Einstein Send Time Optimization (STO) now supports data graphs, giving you greater control to capture, automate, and personalise email send times. Finally, a new Agentforce action lets you quickly retrieve engagement and fit scores for individual records.
With the Salesforce Summer '25 release, you can now connect your WhatsApp Business account to Account Engagement, opening up a fresh channel to reach prospects where they already are. It’s a handy addition for marketers using Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited editions with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Growth, Plus, Advanced, or Premium) and Marketing Cloud Growth or Advanced editions.
